Hi Peeps,
Sorry to bring this topic up yet again (its a bit like a bad soap opera).
Spam is beginning to be a bit more of a problem again. I have greylisting enabled and Spamassassin running as spamc.
Some particularly vulgar emails are getting through and I am trying to sort out why. I checked out the headers of some of them and it seems that the originating IP is listed in, among many others, Spahhaus XBL but the headers don't list a hit for that.
Headers :- X-Spam-Status: No, score=3.3 required=5.0 tests=BAYES_00,HTML_MESSAGE, URIBL_BLACK,XPRIO autolearn=no version=3.3.1
Blocklist :- http://www.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi?ip=82.165.157.17
Of course I could be misunderstanding that blocklist, I searched on Spamhaus and it returned a listing as above.
Anyway, I have searched and followed the forum posts on this and it seems that Spamhaus should already be in use but I cannot find any trace anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Thanks Tim
CentOS Linux 5.11 Webmin version 1.780 Virtualmin version 4.18
Well, in absence of any suggestions I took a look at the headers of spam that had been caught. I have now seen some headers that contain an entry for Spamhaus. I still have no idea of where this is specified in VM/WM but I guess it is somewhat academic. I don't know what other RBL lists are used either.
Thanks anyway.
