Howdy,
Well, by default, there shouldn't be any restrictions that prevent users from accessing it from certain countries.
The only reason I could see that occurring is it there were some sort of firewall installed.
One thing you could try is to look at the log files in either /var/log/mail.log or /var/log/maillog.
Work with one of your users who is having a problem, and as they are trying to log in, look at the log files above.
Do you see an incoming connection attempt when that occurs (they'd be connecting to Dovecot though, not Postfix -- Dovecot is for checking email, Postfix is for sending/receiving email).
If you don't see an incoming connection attempt in the logs, there may be a firewall that's blocking access.
If you do see a connection attempt, is there an error of some kind associated with it? If so, what is the error?

Howdy,
Hmm, it appears that there's two different login attempts there... one is a POP3-based login for the user "taavi" which is unsuccessful.
The other is an IMAP-based login for the user taavi@domain.com, which does appear to be successful.
What's showing up in the logs could just be an account related issue then...
Is it possible this particular user is using the wrong username in the one case?
It looks like it should be taavi@domain.com, not just taavi as it's attempting to use.
