How to migrate vps to another host? (GPL, KVM)

Hello,

What would be the best way to migrate a VPS to another Cloudmin host wich is a lot different than the original one? (different dns zones and a bunch of other stuff) Should i copy its virtual hard drive to another host, create a vps with the same settings and replace the new hard drive with the original one?
