Hi,
After migrating from a ubuntu install to a cent os install postfix has stopped working and i cannot login to the SMTP server, all i get in the log is:

Jun 24 19:24:29 zeus postfix/smtpd[32556]: warning: SASL authentication failure: cannot connect to saslauthd server: No such file or directory
Jun 24 19:24:29 zeus postfix/smtpd[32556]: warning: unknown[XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX]: SASL LOGIN authentication failed: generic failure
Jun 24 19:24:29 zeus postfix/smtpd[32556]: lost connection after AUTH from unknown[XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX]
Jun 24 19:24:29 zeus postfix/smtpd[32556]: disconnect from unknown[XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX]
saslauthd is in both the following locations:
/var/spool/postfix/var/run/saslauthd
and
/var/run
Any help would be appreciated thanks!
