How do I resolve this issue?
Howdy,
Have you installed any other packages recently? If so, which package(s) were installed? Was one of them "nss-softokn"?
CentOS has an unfortunate bug that caused updating that package to corrupt the RPM database. A fix for that issue can be seen here in the first comment by the user "AnastasiosMagoutas":

Just to confirm that the fix by "AnastasiosMagoutas" worked for me too!
Thanks!!
