S3 Backup issue

Have set-up Amazon's S3 to back up 3 sites on a server the 'just' first failed with the message:

Uploading archive to Amazon's S3 service .. .. upload failed! Empty response to HTTP request. Headers were :

.. completed in 2 minutes, 25 seconds

However the second 2 site backed up OK, any ideas?
