disk failure after installing virtualmin

Hi,

I installed Virtualmin gpl on a vps running on Centos 6.5 (64 bit) Amazingly, the system failed and the disk became read-only. This happened twice and I don't have any access. The service provider put the blame on me and sent this screenshot (attached)

Any idea why this is happening?

Howdy,

Yeah, the screenshot they sent you certainly suggests that there's a disk/filesystem problem, though I'm not quite sure how someone would be able to cause such a thing.

Did the VPS turn off unexpectedly at any point? Was there any time where it was powered off, without the server first being shut down?

If not, it kind of sounds like something else unusual is going on.

Do you perhaps have the ability to use a different VPS image?

I'd be curious if you saw different results using a different image -- be it a different CentOS version, or perhaps Ubuntu, or maybe just a 32 bit version of CentOS 6?
