Update MySQL 5x to 5.1?

Hi All!

Webmin version - 1.690 Virtualmin version - 4.08.gpl GPL

Currently running CentOS Linux 5.10 MySQL version 5.0.95 would like to upgrade to MySQL 5.1.X can anyone advise a quick simple method?

Howdy,

MySQL 5.0.x is what comes with CentOS 5, and there unfortunately isn't a recommended way to upgrade to 5.1.x while on CentOS 5.

Is it an option to move to a more recent distribution? CentOS 6 comes with MySQL 5.1.73.

Also, Ubuntu and Debian come with even more recent MySQL versons.
