All,
When I visit Virtualmin->Server Configuration->Manage SSL Certificates, I am informed that "This SSL certificate is already being used by : Postfix, Usermin, Webmin, Dovecot"
When I look at httpd.conf, postfix.cert.pem, and /etc/pki/dovecot/certs/dovecot.pem, I see that the first points to the security certificate I installed and the latter two are exact copies of the security certificate I installed. All of this makes perfectly good sense.
When I look at /etc/usermin/miniserv.pem and /etc/webmin/miniserve.pem, I get confused. That these files contain both the key and the certificate is not the confusing part. What is confusing is that a) these files are different from each other and b) neither has the same certificate or key as the ones I installed.
Is this, meaning the the miniserve.pem files are seemingly unrelated to anything, normal? If this is normal, could someone explain why these are different? If this is not normal, should I replace the contents of the miniserve.pem files with the values from the installed certificates?
Note that my system appears to be running just fine and I am not anxious to break it. I am asking this question for the purpose of trying to learn more about Virtualmin.
Thank you.
