most memory: SpamAssassin or spamc

what uses the most memory the SpamAssassin standalone program or spamc for scanning for spam?

I'm thinking spamc but just wanted to be sure.

Howdy,

Using spamc keeps a SpamAssassin service running at all times. It usually uses more memory to use that, as using the standalone only spawns a SpamAssassin process if and when an email arrives.
