Failed to create system : No suitable running host systems are available.

I did some more reading and saw the article about LVM being the better choice and thought perhaps this was the problem I may have had with VM's crashing when trying to install a clean version of CentOS. I followed the instructions to set the Xen host to use LVM. The host is already formatted LVM so I expected it would be fine. When I look in Webmin, there are 3. Home, root and swap. Now when creating a new VM all I get is the error: Failed to create system : No suitable running host systems are available.

I am at a deadlock here.

What am I missing? Suggestions?

Googling this topic sadly yields a bunch of unanswered questions.

I'm trying to follow the documentation and it says "...you must first bring it under Cloudmin's control using the Add physical system link under Add system on the left menu" I have no such menu. What next?

Upgraded to Pro. Followed directions for adding the physical system and still get the same error when trying to create a Xen instance: "Xen hosting system No usable host systems are available!"

This problem could be related to not enough disk space being allocated (I had a similar problem). An LVM partition can only be created in unpartitioned space, so if you have already created a partition you will not be able to use it for LVM.

Hope that helps,

Paul
