Hello all,
I have about 30 accounts on my Virtualmin installation which are backing up to S3 every night for around 6 months.
The last couple of days I keep getting an error mail from Virtualmin about a failed backup, when I search for the error it is always 1 domain that is playing up. The log reads:
Uploading archive to Amazon's S3 service ..
.. upload failed! Missing new endpoint in redirect :
.. completed in 1 minutes, 41 seconds
It doesn't happen every day but at a random rate really,
Uploading archive to Amazon's S3 service ..
.. upload failed! HTTP connection to s3.amazonaws.com:443 for /x/26-11-2013/domain.ca.tar.gz failed : Failed to lookup IP address for s3.amazonaws.com
.. completed in 6 minutes, 57 seconds
Is there a way to see a bit more logging, or is it possible to open an issue and maybe make it retry a few times before failing a backup?
Howdy,
Do you happen to see more errors in the Webmin error log, located in /var/webmin/miniserv.error?

No doesn't look like it, there are no backup entries recorded in that log file.
I have the same problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. Weird...
I didn't get the error since my last post, maybe something changed in 4.04 or it fixed itself :) Anyway I would plead for a dedicated backup logfile
