Cannot redirect to index.php despite DirectoryIndex

hello, i have a dedicated server on which i host éà or so websites, all of them had no problem with redirecting to index.php when i type www.domain.com but with the newest virtualhost i created i have the redirection not working and the message : The requested URL /cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi was not found on this server. thank you for your i cannot figure out this error.
