[SOLVED} Rollback Webmin Update from 1.6.4 to 1.6.6

Hi, the Update from 1.6.4 to 1.6.6 broke my softwareinstallation of my SQLedger clone.

I cannot create pdf Documents anymore. It is claiming, that he is missing Fonts and he is also claiming, that the letterhead pdf would have the wrong pdf Version. The documentengine is running on texlive.

Everything was in working condition under Webmin 1.6.4; since i upgraded to 1.6.6 these Errors Keep coming up.

Any Chance to roll back to 1.6.4 in order to get my SQLedger clone working again?

EDIT: Apparently you can roll back by just downloading the older Version of Webmin and install that one. But in the end i didn't needed to, because the Webmin Update didn't do anything wrong.

I am wondering, why a webmin update could break that Software...

Any help is more than truly appreciated.

Howdy,

Well, Webmin doesn't install fonts, or internally manage PDF libraries.

The errors you're getting are likely that some other software was updated at the same time, and those other software updates may be causing the problems you're seeing.

What distro/version is it that you're using?

Any Chance to find out what has been updated with webmin between Friday and tuesday?

I just remember clicking on the update for webmin, i didn't choose anything like Ubuntu updates. Webmin tells me, that there are 126 updates pending.

Best

PS: Found more info in /var/log/dpkg.log:

As you see between June 20th and Oct 16th nothing happened and everything worked. Then on Oct 16th i clicked on upgrade webmin. Looks like besides webmin 1.66 it installed ureadahead. Could that be the culprit?

EDIT: If i enter apt-get remove ureadahead it wants to remove ubuntu-minimal too. I am running Webmin and Virtualmin and several Websites here, does this affect the stability of the System if i remove ureadahead? Or the other way round: is ureadahead essential for a working ubuntu?

EDIT2: I dug deeper and found out, that only one specific entry in my SQL-Ledger yielded this error, which drove me crazy. In the end it has been a bulletized list like that: • 0.27 mm • DVI-D,DisplayPort

Apparently the Software couldn't decode the bullets and threw that Errors. Why it did that, i don't know. Coinicidentally it was one day after upgrading webmin, so i assumed it had something to do with that. But it turned out it didn't.

Thank you very much...
