webmin won' start have update

I just did a update to my freebsd 8.1 including moving to perl 5.16

My webmin will no longer start i get the following error message

[26/Jul/2013:08:14:03 -0400] miniserv.pl started [26/Jul/2013:08:14:03 -0400] Using MD5 module Digest::MD5 [26/Jul/2013:08:14:03 -0400] PAM authentication enabled /libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.16/mach/auto/SDBM_File/SDBM_File.so: Undefined symbol "sdbm__chkpage"

in another areas of this forum http://www.virtualmin.com/node/10357 The solution was to install Perl 5.8 from a pkg

any more current ideas?

Howdy,

Some Perl modules are compiled... and updating the libraries around those modules can cause them to break, if the version of the updated libraries has changed significantly.

You may just need to re-install the Perl modules that are failing, which will cause them to recompile their components against the newer libraries installed on your system.

In this case, it looks like the SDBM_File module needs updated. My suggestion would be to try updating that module and see if that corrects the issue.

hmm I can see a of discussion of SDBM_File issues but sure has heck can't fimnd a way to install that module
