changing Server Host

Hello all, The website that i have on a virtual ip is faulting on the database connection. It says: Warning: mysql_connect(): Host '' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server.

So the www above is an actual hostname and i have been through everything that i can think of and changed this. However it is still thinking that the server Host is that address.

Where should i go in webmin to look to see if this still exists somewhere? Am i missing something?

Updated July 20th 10:11 EST.

Somehow i managed to overwrite my .cfg file with an ip address i was using before. This address is the IP of the server. So changing that in the .cfg to be localhost worked.

However i am still puzzled why the main address is tied to this domain. I would still like to get this changed if anyone has any idea's.

Hi there

If I understand correctly, you have a mysql server running on a separate device to your website's server, and that the connection from your website (with a virtual IP) is using the main IP for your virtualmin server?

The connection from the website will always present the main IP of the server, in lieu of the website's virtual IP when connecting through to mysql. That's not something that is abnormal or configurable to the best of my knowledge.
