mailman bypass spamassassin

I have a server working almost fine. CentOS 6.4 Virtualmin 3.99 Spamassassin 3.3.1 Mailman 2.1.12 Real memory 2GB

However have one problem. When using one local mailing list (approx. 60 mail addresses for destination. Half of them are forwarding to another mail address), server goes down caused by high load of spamassassin (spamc). To avoid this, I want to bypass spam check only for this mailing list. This mailing list is for private use and all users belong to same local domain, so spam check is unnecessary.

I found procmail recipe for virtual domain in /etc/webmin/virtual-server/procmail , so adding recipe here might be one solution. But on the other hand, can’t avoid fake address spam.

If can control delivery rate of mailing list, might be better but couldn’t find how. Maybe postfix can do something but have no idea.

For information spamd child is now set to 5.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thank you in advance.

Howdy,

Is your mailing list just a newsletter, sent primarily from one person or organization?

If so, you might consider using phpList for handling that, as it has built-in email throttling options which work quite well.

Thank you for the information Eric.

Unfortunately no. I need everybody in the mailing list to post by themselves.
