so i thought to make my system a bit safer by following this thread:

however i got a

so i deleted the two rules I added and tried to start up the firewall again but i get a:

so instead of safer system I end up with no firewall at all.
I replaced the iptable file with a backup to no avail.
removing the *filter ends up with no rules at all.
what can I do?
This is on a testing server running GPL version. If succeed I will implement on production server but now I hesitate.
