Had an HD run out of space today. My sites are all in /home under username directories. I found the exact same directory structure, including all files and permissions, duplicated in /var/www.
Is this normal? Why are these here? Are they necessary? If it can be prevented, how?
Thanks in advance.
Ah, I figured out it was because Virtualmin mounts /var/www on /home. Verified by mount -l. So the files aren't duplicated.
Howdy,
Just to clarify -- Virtualmin doesn't do that :-)
Virtualmin doesn't setup mount points.
While it's true that Virtualmin puts it's files in /home, if something is mounting /var/www on /home, that was setup by something or someone else :-)
