difference between "alias of" and "alias of with email"

hello all -

for fun i created an alias virtual-server, saved the httpd.conf file, deleted the alias virtual-server, and then re-created it using the "alias with email" option.

then i did a "diff" on the httpd.conf file against the saved version - no difference.

what internally is the difference between "alias of" and "alias of with email"

thanks!

Howdy,

Normally, Alias Virtual Servers can't have unique email addresses.

The "Alias with Email" option is a new option that enables you to create an Alias Virtual Server that has email accounts independent of those in the parent domain.

hi - from what i can see from these newbie eyes, it does not appear to make much difference (please see attached).

i would have thought that in having an alias with email, i might have seen a user option.

am i looking in the wrong place?
