Added new FTP-User: No Permissions for upload?

Greetings,

I´ve added a subdirectory on my webhost /public_html/catalogue. I then added a new FTP-User for this particular directory, to give our marketing team access and let them upload their stuff by themselves, without the ability to alter the document root.

But this new user has no rights to store files? How can I achieve this? Shouldn´t this be done automatically?

Howdy,

How did you add that user -- is it a "Website access FTP user"?

That is, in the Edit Users screen, you'd want to use the "Add a website FTP access user." to have a user with rights to upload files to the public_html folder.
