Hello,
I would like to disable (remove) "Read user mail" feature in Virtualmin , as well as, in Webmin.
Please for an advice about how to do it.
Thank you.
If you go into System Settings -> Server Templates -> Default -> Administrators Webmin Modules, you can select which Webmin modules that Virtual Server Admin's have access to.
You can de-select the "Read User Mail" option in there.
That doesn't change existing users though, which you'd need to change in Webmin -> Webmin -> Webmin Users -> USERNAME -> Available Webmin modules... and in there you can uncheck the Read User Mail option.
Thank you.
Unfortunately, I can't find neither Server Templates nor other items you had writtten about. Where is it exactly please?
I have been using Virtualmin 3.91 as server owner.
Kind regards.
Thank you.

Well, the instructions above explain exactly which screen to find it on... it's the "Read User Mail" feature on System Settings -> Server Templates -> Default -> Administrators Webmin Modules.
If you don't see that -- it's possible that the option isn't available on your Virtualmin version.
Version 3.91 is about a year old -- you may want to upgrade to the most recent version, and see if that contains the option you're looking for.
Thanks.
It seems the problem is the 3.91 version.

The role written under my login name, either in Virtualmin or Webmin, is "Server owner". I don't know is it Master admin, although I can create Extra admins... Is it possible to check the role is, as you said, Master admin/root user?
Kind regards.

Hmm, are you doing the above as the Master Admin / root user?
The menu options won't show up unless you're logged in as root.

Howdy,
Yeah, if the roll says "server owner", that means it is not the master admin.
Do you have root access to the server?
You would need to log in as root in order to have Master Admin access. Without logging in as root, you won't be able to change that setting.
-Eric
I should contact the web server host.
Thank you very much.
Kind regards.
