enabling ssi (server-side-include) from virtualmin

hello all - there appeared to be one last missing piece to getting SSI working.

i am not sure how to do it from virtualmin, but i went into my httpd.conf file and changed:

Options -Indexes -IncludesNOEXEC +SymLinksifOwnerMatch +ExecCGI

to:

Options -Indexes -IncludesNOEXEC +SymLinksifOwnerMatch +ExecCGI +Includes

putting "+Includes" at the end of the line.

the prior posting on this subject was more global in nature, while this one was for a specific virtual-server.

my q: where was/is this done in virtualmin?

its CHEATING to manually edit the httpd.conf when there is a beautiful package like virtualmin/webmin installed, i tell you!

Hi,

At the moment, SSI is disabled by default. So you'll have to manually update the "VirtualHost" section of the select domain to include the feature.

Jamie is already working on a "per-domain" Server-Side Includes options for one of the upcoming releases (potentially the upcoming one).

You can read about the request by visiting:

http://virtualmin.com/node/24982

*** this tracker request was put together after assisting another user accomplish the same task, and while the original idea was to offer this on a more "global" basis, Jamie has indicated that he'll be implementing it on a "per-domain" basis which makes a bit more sense. ***

Let us know if there is anything further you require.

Hi,

Amazing Jamie has completed the feature request, and the options to manage SSI will be available in the next version as noted in the tracker link above.

*** feel free to give Jamie a great big bear hug for his efforts ***
