On several fresh installs of Virtualmin on Ubuntu 12.04 I get the message "The module could not find the mount point for your home directories filesystem /home. Quotas editing has been disabled." when I go to check virtualmin configuration.
Here is the output of mount: http://prntscr.com/nyi1y Essentially I just want to have user level quotes in /home. -- ex: /home/user1 -- 500mb, ect.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks! -Calvin
Howdy,
If you first make a backup of /etc/fstab -- if you then copy /etc/mtab over the /etc/fstab file, does that resolve your problem?
-Eric
Hi Eric, unfortunately that doesn't do anything -- even after a complete reboot. I can provide access if you'd like to check it out.
Thanks, -Calvin
Hmm, it sounds like Jamie is a bit baffled as to why that's occurring... and it would indeed be helpful to have access to your server.
Is there any chance you could email login details to eric@virtualmin.com?
And then, Jamie and/or I will log in and take a look to try and determine the source of that error.
Thanks!
-Eric
If you find this forum thread because your having issues with quotas on your OpenVZ VPS then you're at the right spot! This issue has been diagnosed and solved and will be included in the next virutalmin release.
Thanks Jamie and Eric!
