clamAv question

What exactly does ClamAv do? Is it just for email filtering? Either way it uses quite a bit of ram :). I wanted to get some insight on whether or not it's necessary for simple WordPress websites. I will be running no email on the VPS. thanks.

In terms of use within Virtualmin, it's just an email virus scanner. Since you don't host email services for your clients, you can turn ClamAV off completely. I already gave you some hints how to do that in your other thread: https://www.virtualmin.com/node/24734
