Creating a 'Virtual Server' without a domain. Can this be done?

Hello

I would like to know please could I create a virtual server without using a domain. For example I want to create a virtual server for my friend and I would like to call its 'bobsites' so then I know that it belongs to 'bob'

Would this be possible please or do you have to use a domain name?

I am using the free GPL version :) on Centos

Yes, you can do that without problem. The virtual server name is used as domain name when you use features like BIND DNS or Apache, but otherwise it can just be a symbolic name to identify the home directory.
