I have 2 Ubuntu servers both running Virtualmin. Server 1 is just a web server and server 2 is mail and DNS. I would like to migrate the 2 of them. I figure it would be easier to move the web server into the mail server ( the mail server has a more recent version of Ubuntu). If I backup the mail server and restore it into the mail server will it add the web part to the rest of the services it wipe out the other.
What would be the simplest way.
Jeff
You mean you wish to combine those two servers into one?
I'm afraid it will be very hard to give "this is the simplest way" instructions, since it highly depends on your individual setup.
I personally would suggest to use Virtualmin on the new server, and migrate the data from your old web- and mail servers onto the new one.
If you try to combine the configuration of your existing servers into one, you'll quite likely run into considerable issues. :)
