Hello,
Virtualmin install just stops after updating the spamassin rules. Freshly installed Scientific Linux 6.3 with firewall rules enabled and webmin When i try to install Virtualmin i don't really get a error message the last lines of the log are.
INFO - 2012-09-14 09:19:52 - /usr/bin/yum -y -d 2 install bind bind-utils caching-nameserver httpd postfix spamassassin procmail perl-DBD-Pg perl-DBD-MySQL quota iptables openssl python mailman subversion mysql mysql-server mysql-devel postgresql postgresql-server rh-postgresql rh-postgresql-server logrotate webalizer php php-xml php-gd php-imap php-mysql php-odbc php-pear php-pgsql php-snmp php-xmlrpc php-mbstring mod_perl mod_python cyrus-sasl dovecot spamassassin mod_dav_svn cyrus-sasl-gssapi mod_ssl ruby ruby-devel rubygems perl-XML-Simple perl-Crypt-SSLeay: Succeeded. INFO - 2012-09-14 09:19:52 - Updating SpamAssassin rules... INFO - 2012-09-14 09:19:53 - Rule updates done
After that it goes back that i can enter commands. Not really sure what is going on. I have installed the webmin/virtualmin combination on other servers that run on Scientific Linux. Hope someone can tell me what is going on and how i can get the installer to continue.
Thanks in advance
Howdy,
That is normally the last part of the script... are you able to access Virtualmin on port 10000?
-Eric
I'm able to access webmin on that port but there is no mention of virtualmin. I can't switch between virtualmin and webmin. But when i look in the installed modules it says that virtualmin is installed. I find it very strange on why it isn't showing up. I'm not entirly sure but does virtualmin create a service like webmin? If that is so i also don't see a virtualmin service.

Howdy,
Hmm, that's unusual!
One thing you might try though -- if you go into Webmin's "Change Language and Theme" option, do you see the "Virtualmin Framed Theme" as one of the options you can pick?
If so, try setting that... the theme being set may be all you're missing.
-Eric
Thank you that worked!
For some reason the theme was set to Personal Choice and not set to the global Virtualmin Framed Theme you suggested.
So this problem is solved now!
-Redmer
Great, I'm glad that worked!
I'm really not sure what went awry, as that's normally setup automatically. But it's working now, and that's super :-)
