I would like to backup to OpenStack Swift, which is compatible with Amazon S3. Would it be possible to add a field to specify the server name we want to upload to ?
Something like: o Amazon S3 o Alternate server: [___________]
If the alternate server is specified, then backup to this location.
There are more and more vendor that are now compatible with Amazon S3 API, it looks like a simple modification.
Thanks!
Howdy,
Using Virtualmin 3.93, you can set that by going into System Settings -> Virtualmin Configuration -> Backup and Restore, and adding your desired hostname into the "S3-compatible server hostname" field.
Will that do what you're after?

Sure does. Didn't find this option earlier.
Thanks!
Hi, excuse me, I can't find how to add a hostname into the "S3-compatible server hostname" field. I'm using Virtualmin 4.14 and I want to add storage for backups from a swift server (RunAbove). Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm trying to make Openstack Swift for the backups, did you manage to make It work? Thanks.
