Provided credentials from phpmyadmin script install aren't working.

After installing the phpMyAdmin script on my domain, it provides me with the credentials to login for the first time. What's confusing is that they don't seem to work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and I just can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Any help?

Here is the exact error message after being unable to authenticate with the provided credentials:

Authorization Required

This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.
