Nginx also possible with CentOS 5.7 ?

Hello All,

I read on your NginX page: "Ideally the change should be done on a freshly installed system, running RHEL 6.0, CentOS 6.0 or Debian 6.0 or later."

If i understand correct this is a "ideally situation"? Because i run 5.7 (Final)

I now also wonder how to install virtualmin, without installing apache dovecot etc. Because i already installed php5.5/mysql5+ /nginx etc. I'm afraid when i run virtualmin install.sh it will try to installl php mysql dovecot and more things i don't really need.. i just want to run a simple site in NginX...

Well, that means that the simple way to set it up is with those distribution versions... that the necessary software (primarily the Nginx package) isn't provided for CentOS 5.

However, were you to manually install Nginx on CentOS 5, it might just work. But we don't have any experience in doing that, so there may be gotchas in there somewhere :-)
