7 day old Webmin EC2 image - MySQL server stops and can't be restarted, but fixed when I delete some files

I have just changed to the current Webmin EC2 image about seven days ago. I had used the previous version for a few years so I am quite experienced as a user. The previous version would have a problem with internal DNS every now and again and lose it network connection. I needed to reboot it every 6-8 weeks.

I was overdue in switching to the current version. I have two websites on the new server. I have some automated "Backup Virtual Server" routines.

This morning I noticed that the sites were down and the MySQL server was not running . I tried to restart the MySQL and it wouldn't restart. It is this problem that prompted me to establish a new server.

The problem with both servers (old and new version of the Webmin EC2 image) was resolved by deleting some files. In both cases, the system information screen told me that only 16gb of more than 100gb was used. I don't know why the servers thought they were running out of disk space.

In both cases, I just used the Webmin console to create new servers. I operated with the confines of Webmin. I am surprised that I have this problem with a fresh Webmin EC2 image that has only had two web sites put on it.

Each web site has unlimited or a large quota.

I would appreciate some help ... has anyone else had this problem
