OK. I deleted a subserver. No big deal, right? Should be gone. Later, I decided to reinstate that subserver. That's when the "but not really" part became apparent. Upon attempting to create a new subserver with the same name, I found it still existed for apache, MySQL, AWStats at the very least. I'm currently stuck at the AWStats bit as there is no obvious method to remove a tracked server from its reporting, but I'll get there, I'm sure - I'm a tenacious one. (As of this edit, it's taken care of.)
My reason for posting all this is to ascertain whether this was a failing of my Virtualmin 3.88 gpl installation, I missed a step, or if it is really this sloppy? It was really no big deal to drop the database, remove the virtual server, and edit the awstats folder, and I can see where, perhaps, one might want to maintain the db or the stats - is there a pick in the process I missed that allows these to be automagically eliminated with the subserver? I'm about to do a major restructure of a domain, so knowing would be helpful. (And RTFM is an acceptable answer, if you can point me to the part that addresses this.)
Thanks
