Hi all,
I've just create a user at virtualmin. This user was in another system and I don't know his password. When I create it using virtualmin I assigned a temporal password, and after that, I copy the system crypted password from one system to the new system with virtualmin. When the user try to access his email vía usermin read mail module, it's not possible to view mails with a message:
"An error occurred listing mail in this folder : Failed to login to POP3 server : Authentication failed."
If the user change his password via usermin, there isn't problem. But this solution is not so good, because I need to migrate several users from the old system to new virtualmin system.
Any suggestions are welcome Thanks in advance. Regards.
Howdy,
Hmm... can you describe how you copied the crypted password from the one system to the other? I just wondering if something went awry during that process, or if there's a compatibility issue with the type of hashing used on those systems.

Thanks for your reply.
Well, I only copy the shadow password form one shadow to the other shadow file. If the user use roundcube he view his mails without problem, but with read mail module it don't work (it's not possible to view mail but the user login to usermin without problems).
Thanks in advance. Regards.
