Hi People,
Although I'm using Virtualmin/Webmin for a long time, I'm new to this forum. So wanna say Hi for everybody. Also want to thank to the development team for developing such a great tool like virtualmin.
My problem Is, I can't find any mail log for Postfix in /var/log/
I checked the settings in Bandwidth Monitoring and there the mail log file location is set as /var/log/mail.log
I tried to manually create the log file and it doesn't work for me.
I'm using Virtualmin 3.87.gpl in an Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x86_64 server.
Thanks.
Howdy,
Yeah, there should definitely be a mail log... that should be something that's setup by default during the Ubuntu installation.
One thing you might try is to restart Postfix, using "/etc/init.d/postfix restart".
After that, does it generate log entries in your mail log?
If not, you may want to also try restarting Syslog, which you can do with "/etc/init.d/sysklogd restart".

Thanks Eric,
Seems like sysklogd in not installed in the system. I'll try to install it manually.
