Hi there Virtualmin community.
I just recently started playing around with the GPL version. I tried to adapt the default template for new Virtual Servers to my needs.
I set the "Default Unix group for domain owners" to a certain group. The group definitely exists and is correctly spelled.
Yet when I create a new Virtual Server Virtualmin still creates a new group for the Administration user and sets the primary group to this new group.
The settings are obviously ignored!
I am running Virtualmin 3.87 on Debian Squeeze.
Any ideas what might be going on here?
Regards
Howdy,
Can you check the groups file to see if it's also adding the users to that group, in addition to setting a new primary group?

No , it is not.
The setting is completely ignored.
For example, the new user "test" is created and added to the new admin group "test". www-data is added to the test group but that's about it.
Setting an additional group to add the user to works just fine, but the primary group does not.
I guess I should file a bug report for this? What bugtracker does Virtualmin use?
Yup, if it's a bug, then Jamie will be able to work with you to get that resolved.
For anyone else who runs into this, the bug report is here:
