I've been have this error when I tried to create new virtual host
Failed to create virtual server : setquota: Cannot set quota for group 526 from kernel on /dev/simfs: No such process setquota: Can't write quota for 526 on /dev/simfs: No such process
I'm using Virtualmin 3.82.gpl, and my server hard disk is just only used a small amount: Local disk space 30 GB total, 4.38 GB used
Now I'm having 32 virtual host running on this physical server. I also changed the config Set quotas for domain and mail users? to No
Could anybody tell me that "Is virtualmin gpl has some kind of limitation on the number of virtual host?" If it is not, please tell me how do I figure out this problem
Appericiate your kindly help
Are you by chance using an OpenVZ-based VPS? That looks similar to some of the problems we've seen with OpenVZ...
Howdy,
We've seen that some VPS's don't play well with quotas, unfortunately.
If you search in the forums for "quota /dev/simfs", you'll see a whole bunch of OpenVZ users who ran into the same issue as yourself.
You can tell Virtualmin to not use quotas by going into System Settings -> Module Config, and set "Quota setup for domain and mail users" to "No".
After that, it'll stop trying to set that whenever you create new Virtual Servers.
