can't install phpmyadmin with Virtualmin GPL

I needed to move a site from one host to another, using VM GPL to backup on the old server. I initialised the new server by installing VM GPL. Before transferring and restoring the tarball I messed around with the new script installer in the GPL by installing phpmyadmin. Worked well. Then however I did the restore and the phpmyadmin installation was messed up. No big surprise and I thought I'd just manually delete the /home/XXX/public_html/phpmyadmin folder and that'd be that - I'd reinstall. But after the deletion VM still thinks there's an installation there even though I've confirmed that there is no such directory.

I suppose the restore has included the webmin log file from the previous installation where the install took place and so is out of sync with the current state of affairs. How can I correct this so as to be able to run the script installer?

Howdy,

Well, if you go into "Install Scripts" for that particular Virtual Server, and you see phpMyAdmin listed there... I'd suggest un-installing that script from there.

Once that's uninstalled, you should be able to re-install phpMyAdmin.

"Now un-installing phpMyAdmin version 3.3.9.2 ..

  Invalid install directory /home/ecobc.net/public_html/phpmyadmin

.. failed! See the error message above for the reason why."

And I can confirm the directory doesn't exist, then when trying to install gives:

"Failed to install script : Another script is already installed in /home/ecobc/public_html/phpmyadmin."

um.......???

Try re-creating the directory "/home/ecobc.net/public_html/phpmyadmin" -- once that directory exists, you should stop receiving that error.
