Hello, I am searching for some good VM managing software and I have found out Cloudmin. Seems like very good software, but I am not sure about some things...
1) I start KVM VM, it has status "ping failed" because it has another IP than Cloudmin expects. So I set on my router static IP for VM MAC address and it's Ok then. But when there is "ping failed" I am able to click on "startup system" again and start another instance of the same VM (I can see it in processes list). I think it would be good to check running processes if there is the machine I am about to start already running.
2) It would be good to be able to set MAC address. I was able to find it in process list in command line, I couldn't find it in Cloudmin GUI.
3) If I understart it well it seems like there is an image store where I can download some images (ISOs and so on). When I create machine it seems like the ISO is copied to the machine and mounted. I think symbolic link would be better but maybe there is reason for the copy.
4) Another thing related to 3) is is "manage disk" part. For example - I would like to mount already downloaded image. It seems like I have to take a look to "new system images" for image name and path of deserved disk. I think much better would be some combo box or list of downloaded images where I can just select the one I would like to mount.
So I would like to know anybody opinion on this. Anyway it seems like feature rich piece of software and I am really considering of using this one. In fact I am happy user of Virtualmin :) .
