need kvm over ip to install webmin?

i was planning on getting a server from codera with no control panel and then install webmin but the codero support told me that to install it i would need to order kvm over ip which costs more monthly than cpanel....is that true....why would i need kvm over ip?

Howdy,

Hrm, I'm not sure why you would need that :-)

All you would need is SSH access in order to log into your server, and install the desired packages.

You could either install just Webmin, or you could install the full Virtualmin stack (which includes Webmin), by downloading the install.sh script at the Download page linked above.

that's what i was thinking eric....i was confused as to why i would need it when i would have ssh access....
