Hi,
I have 2 domain names toto.com and toto.fr How can I have a redirection from http://toto.com to http://www.toto.com (without .htaccess files !) How can I redirect http://toto.fr an d http://www.toto.fr to http://www.toto.com ?
Just don't really understand how it works ...
Thanks in advance. SaouLLaBiT
I am not sure if you are using GPL or Pro
I have instructions for the Pro version (GPL may be similar) make sure you are in toto.com
then Create Virtal Server, then "Alias of toto.com" link should be at top, just add "toto.fr"
What I did to make it Work, or How-to not the wrong server has to respond the other site's url I made a new virtualserver named 404.default, with nothing in it, only website/http and DNS domain enabled. I made this site as the default website reponding to the IP of the physical server. Of course it doesn't work, it gives: 404 ERROR NOT FOUND and that is what I needed Finally, I hope it would help someone

Hi, I have the Pro version too so I found easily what you're talking about ;) That what I did : make an alias of toto.com
Finally it does not work even if waited few days for a DNS refresh.
So I think there is something bad in the DNS configuration on the registrar panel. I'll check that

Not sure, but I saw, that virtualmin is adding shared IPs for aliases instead of the IP of the parent-server. If you have different IPs for your virtual-servers, check the DNS-records of the parent and the alias.
Another option is to use the "aliases and redirect" option in the apache-menu.
Of course I did not check "aliases and redirect" ... damn it !
Come back later !
sarcasm? ^^
Not at all, I really did not check "aliases and redirect" ... (joke inside : You're on fire Sheldon !)
