Webmail apps - is SLL necessary?

hi,

just wondering if an SSL certificate is necessary on a WEBMIN/VIRTUALMIN server to handle Webmail interfaces.

if not, what path or URL could domain clients be directed to, to get their webmail?

Howdy,

By default, a self-signed certificate is used.

Your clients can access Usermin by browsing to "webmail.their_domain.tld". That will then redirect them to port 20000 on your server.

You can also directly access it by browsing to https://yourdomain.com:20000 .
