okay, so i have many domains added through virtualmin. My issue is, i just added a new one on its own private ip via virtual nic. I own a few ip's in a block, i.e. xx.xxx.xxx.194 - xx.xxx.xxx.198. All of my servers have been hosted on .197 and work fine, but i added a new domain on virtual interface on ip 195 so i could install an ssl cert for it. going to https://example.com or http://example.com works fine, but if you goto www.example.com, which is the only domain on ip 195 it redirects to default page on 197. The ssl IS setup to use https://example.com not www.example.com but i've seen this happen once before on the same ip (197), wondering what could be causeing this.
and now i took a top level domain that was working fine along side the default top level domain on my base server ip address 197 and changed its ip address to 196 via server configuration->change ip.
New ip: O Shared address: xx.xxx.xxx.197(shared address's for all servers) X use private address: xx.xxx.xxx.196 aldready active (i left unchecked so it's create a new virtual nic for this ip.
left the rest alone.
now if you goto webpage that just got changed to 196, it displays the default page from 197. tried with and without www. etc. but it keeps showing example2.coms page even if you goto example1.com
so i've found that after the ip change, if you goto the private ip address directly it shows the right content, but if i goto the domain, it goes to the default server for the base server
