According to the "about" page, Cloudmin supports Xen, Zones, OpenVZ, vservers, and Amazon EC2. VMWare uses a proprietary modified Linux kernel and will surely not be compatible with Cloudmin.
Which wouldn't even make sense, since ESXi has its own management software called VSphere. :)
But, why exactly would you want to kill ESXi and replace it with a Cloudmin based system? I'm running VMWare myself and it is definitely worth a try, especially if it's already installed.
