Hostname - Domain -Mail help

So I have installed Virtualmin GPL and have everything running. I have about 20 domains with mail working. My problem is that since I set up the box as prod-01.mydomain.local some email servers won't accept mail coming from my server as there are obviously no mx records for .local, so I want to change my server name to prod-01.mydomain.com. What steps do I need to take to do this as to not break the mail services for the 20 some domains on this box?

Howdy,

Whenever you change your hostname, just make sure you update that name in /etc/hosts, as well as on the "mydestination" line of /etc/postfix/main.cf, and then restart Postfix when you're done.

If you update the hosts file and main.cf, you should be in good shape!

What about TLS? Do I need to regenerate anything due to the change and if so how?
