POP3 Email Migration

Hello,

My existing server has IMAP and POP3 support for emails. I want to migrate all mailboxes from that server to new virtualmin server. I know the part of MX record change and other dns stuff. Just need to know how do I move all inbox's from old server to new virtualmin server, what method to use?? Is there any way to even migrate the passwords for users. The current server do not use any control panels.

Howdy,

Well, since you don't have a control panel on there now, there isn't a super-easy way to migrate the accounts and such.

I'd probably suggest just re-creating them on the new server.

If your current email is stored in Maildir format, you could copy the Maildir directories from the current server to the user home directories on the new server... that would be a way to migrate the email.
