how to automatically restart failed Apache?

Hi all,

Apache keeps failing from time to time on one of my VPS's. How do I configure VirtualMin to automatically restart Apache when needed?

Howdy,

If you're using the Status Monitoring, you can set this up by going into Webmin -> Others -> System and Server Status, choose "Apache Webserver", then set the commands for "Commands to run".

In particular, you'd want to set "If monitor goes down, run command" to run the script that launches Apache on your server.
