How to update ClamAV

There is a new version of ClamAV (v96.3). Currently virtualmin is running v96.1. Is there any way to manually update this version? I have been eagerly waiting for the new version because it supposedly reduces memory usage quite a bit. ClamAV v96.2 and earlier is a real pig. I run it on a VPS where memory is quite prescious so I would like to upgrade to this new version as soon as possible.

Any idea when the virtualmin repository might be updated to this new version?

Howdy,

That's a good question... do you happen to have any details on the difference of RAM consumption between the two versions?

There's always a risk in running the most recent software versions, as it's less tested, but a ClamAV release with RAM usage in mind is intriguing :-)

I been running 96.3 on a windows box since it came out a while ago, ram on this box dropped from about 130 meg to 75~80 meg
