turning off REGISTER_GLOBALS

Hi Folks,

I'm new at all this, and not a server-side expert by any means.

Could anyone please tell me, in a simple way, how to turn off the PHP directive REGISTER_GLOBALS; if possible, either on a server-wide level, or on a per-domain level?

I'm running Coppermine photo gallery, and it is warning me that this is a security leak.
