Can anyone tell me how to calculate the broadcast address and is it needed. We have 16 static ips lets say starting at 78.105.97.98 netmask 255.255.248.0
Yes i have seen these calculators but they all put the broadcast address at the end of the isp's ip block range not within my 16 ip's. So is broadcast actually needed? Is it the ISP thatshould have the broadcast address? and what is the side efects of not having it set?
